HOW TO APPLY
Class of 2009 graduates from Knox County High Schools may apply to receive Knox Achieves tuition assistance. Applicants must meet the program’s eligibility requirements.
Application Process
- Step 1: Complete and submit Knox Achieves application
- Step 2: Have initial meeting with Knox Achieves mentor
- Mentors contact students in early January.
- Step 3: Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online form
- Step 4: Take the American College Test (ACT)
(note: this test must be taken prior to April 1, 2009)
- Step 5: Complete Community College application
- Step 6: Register for classes
Assistance is for tuition expense only and will be for a maximum of $2,000 annually. In the first year, Knox Achieves will fund 500 students. Priority will be given to first generation college students. |
